Villasis core group now serves five communities actively conducting Baha`i Children`s Classes for Grades 1 and 2 and Junior Youth Classes using Breezes of Confirmation and Glimmerings of Hope lessons every Saturday since the three-month cycle started last June 26 with six hardworking youths, two of them student pioneers and four homegrown who have arisen and heeded the call to serve the faith.

The communities are San Blas, where Feliz Academy is located, Caramutan Purok I, Libtong II, Lomboy and Palakipak. Three teams were created from the youth core group to conduct simultaneous lessons every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. handling both BCC and JY. For this three-month plan, the following is the consolidated list of enrollees: for BCC, Grade 1 – 60 pupils, Grade 2 – 15 pupils; and JY, Breezes – 19, Glimmerings – 7 pupils.

Three study circles were created also. The following is the list of the study circle graduates: Book 1, Libtong – 5, Palakipak – 3, Book 2, Libtong – 1, Palakipak – 3 ongoing, Book 3, Libtong – 1, Book 5, San Blas – 9.

Devotional meetings are encouraged not only within these five communities but most especially to all members of the core group headed by teacher Fred Santiago.

As a result of frequent home visits to all these five communities, Feliz Academy launched its Community Development Program by spearheading building Baha`i Learning Centers starting at Libtong II, in which a property was purchased, and building of a classroom using locally available materials is ongoing. The program aims to educate village children in a continuing process employing Baha`i ­inspired curriculum. Continuous trainings are now ongoing among all members of the core group in preparation for the opening of the Center this end of September.

In summary, it is hoped that with all these activities the movement of the believers in the Institute process and the movement of the cluster to the level of “A” Cluster would be assured in its targeted date.
